10th World Champ

The International Tang Soo Do Federation 10th World Championship will be held in Orlando, Florida, USA, July 31 through August 3, 2008.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! - Choong Jae Nim will be conducting a special business meeting after the Masters' Seminar on Thursday, July 31. All Masters must attend.

THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IS APPROACHING FAST! INSTRUCTORS-WORK HARD WITH YOUR STUDENTS TO PREPARE THEM FOR THIS SPECIAL EVENT. STUDENTS-PRACTICE HARD AND LISTEN TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR. THIS IS AN EVENT OF A LIFETIME!

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to receive the Hotel Discount you MUST call for reservations and indicate that you are with the International Tang Soo Do Federation™ World Championship.

Many schools have already begun to have fundraisers to help finance those who will be attending the championship. Additional information include registration forms for all the events, Awards Dinner and tournament will be sent to each instructor in the near future.

I encourage everyone to begin to form their teams for the championship. For the forms team, participants must be black belts at least 16 years of age. For the sparring team, participants must be black belts at least 18 years of age. All team participants must submit their photo to be included in the program book.

Please note that students may only compete with their 2 highest forms at the Championship. Below are the forms acceptable for each rank. YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR TEAM IN ADVANCE TO COMPETE AT THE CHAMPIONSHIP. IF YOU HAVE NOT YET DONE SO, PLEASE FAX YOUR TEAM REGISTRATION TO HEADQUARTERS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR MASTERCARD OR VISA NUMBERS AND EXPIRATION DATE WITH YOUR REGISTRATION. ALL TEAMS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A PHOTO OF THEIR TEAM TO BE INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM BOOK.

*TEAM REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

*ALL TEAMS MUST BRING A SIGN INDICATING YOUR COUNTRY AND CITY

A LETTER WAS SENT PREVIOUSLY TO EACH INSTRUTOR WITH INSTRUCTIONS ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SIGN. IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED THIS, PLEASE CONTACT HEADQUARTERS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

JUDGE/REFEREE CERTIFICATION

ALL BLACK BELTS 18 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER ARE REQUIRED TO BE CERTIFIED AS A JUDGE OR REFEREE. ONLY THOSE WHO ATTEND THE JUDGE/REFEREE SEMINAR WILL BE PERMITTED TO OFFICIATE AT THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

EVERYONE PARTICIPATING IN THE SEMINAR MUST BRING:

*WHISTLE

*JUDGE/REFEREE GUIDELINES

*ARMBAND (IF PREVIOUISLY CERTIFIED)

*CERTIFICATION CARD (IF PREVIOUSLY CERTIFIED)

THOSE WHO PREVIOUSLY CERTIFIED BUT HAVE LOST THEIR ARMBAND MUST PURCHASE A NEW ARMBAND (COST $20) TO BE ELIGIBLE TO OFFICIATE AT THE CHAMPIONSHIP. YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR ARMBAND SO IT IS AVAILABLE FOR FUTURE EVENTS.
